As schools were desegregated in the 1950s and 1960s, opponents feared that embracing students from low-performing all-black schools would lower standards and unfairly disrupt…
As a recipient of the hard effects of racism on our public education systems and as a mother who is raising a child in that same system, I think and feel that more truths like what is presented in this Tedx talk should be mainstreamed as much as violence and sex is in our pop culture.
